A recent gathering in Madrid welcomed community leaders, artists and experts in coexistence to reflect on the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The meeting included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and Denise González. Speakers presented personal, cultural and institutional perspectives on how education can strengthen coexistence.
Throughout the gathering, participants explored themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s emphasis on ethical values and community improvement. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
